Development projects
Typically, we start a new development project based on a new demand from a customer. However, the process may of course also be initiated by research and new technological opportunities that we wish to exploit. This may be in the form of an entirely new platform forming the basis of gasket or diaphragm solutions or the next generation of bonding technology. Irrespective of the size of the project, the development process follows a Stage/Gate model scaled in accordance with the complexity of the project.
We base all projects on a target profile, including your requirements as well as ours. We know that it may sometimes be difficult to formulate functional requirements. Therefore, we see it as one of our most important tasks to help you in this process and make sure that “a long lifetime”, “good temperature resistance” or “good chemical resistance” may be converted into the right development parameters and success criteria.
Together, we then work out a realistic plan to make sure that you complete your project in time. This includes external approvals where our close dialogue with test laboratories and authorities ensure that we do not use more time or resources than necessary.
IPR
Compounds and mixing processes are core competences at AVK GUMMI and consequently a natural part of our Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Upon request, we can agree on exclusivity, and you can even buy out the IPR if it is critical to your business.

Regulatory requirements within our strategic areas of business (drinking water, food, healthcare, etc.) are a natural part of the know-how that we develop and maintain.
